Brandin Cooks doesn’t seem happy about the Texans trading Mark Ingram to the Saints.

“This is bulls–t. Such a joke,” the Houston wide receiver tweeted Wednesday — shortly after the Texans sent Ingram to New Orleans for draft picks.

Ingram, who signed a one-year contract with the Texans in the offseason, is the the team’s leading rusher. He was also teammates with Cooks in New Orleans for three seasons.

Cooks’ frustration appears to be building amid Houston’s 1-6 start the season. The Texans have continued to rid the roster of veteran talent, having recently released defensive end Whitney Mercilus, who signed with the Packers last week.

Ingram will reunite with the Saints, the team that selected him in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He departed New Orleans in 2019 as a free agent after amassing 6,007 rushing yards, 1,598 receiving yards and 55 touchdowns in the Big Easy.

The trade will also reunite Ingram with running back Alvin Kamara. They were considered one of the most elite running back duos in NFL during their time together in 2017-18, and earned the nickname, “Boom and Zoom.”

When news of Ingram’s move was made public, Kamara tweeted, “Aye @markingramII ….. we back.”

Ingram replied with a smiling emoji and an emoji emulating the Saints logo.

Saints wide receiver Kenny Stills also reacted to the news, tweeting three smiling emojis.

The acquisition of Ingram gives New Orleans much-needed help at the running back position following the September release of veteran Latavius Murray. The Saints are also without backup Tony Jones Jr. due to an ankle injury he suffered in a loss to the Giants earlier this month.

The Texans are also reportedly nearing a deal to send quarterback Deshaun Watson to the Dolphins, pending his legal issues.

Watson is facing 22 allegations of sexual misconduct, an obvious hurdle to any trade.
